The saying goes that you can’t pour from an empty cup, which, as we all know, is so very true. This November we are taking the time to honor the people who care for a loved one. You are a caregiver if you are helping a family member or a friend through cancer treatments. We at CamWell know that caring for loved ones who are fighting cancer or aging can be tough and not always rewarding, but caregivers do it anyway and we are grateful.

Being a caregiver means showing you care in actionable ways. As a caregiver, asking questions and being involved in decisions regarding your loved one’s health is one of the most effective things you can do. Doing research on the internet is helpful, but it is very important to follow that up with speaking to trusted healthcare professionals such as doctors. Caregivers also play a vital role when it comes to care plan options and navigating insurance coverage for loved ones in times of illness.
